Chip in to keep abortion safe and legal
If you thought Roe v. Wade meant that abortion would always be safe and legal, think again. Anti-choice legislators have figured out that while they can’t ban abortion outright, they can force clinics to close their doors with arbitrary and senseless regulations--and so far the courts are NOT stopping them.
The next big battle is in Louisiana, where a bill is flying through the legislature that would shut down every clinic within 325 miles of New Orleans. It’s already passed the state House, and there's a big hearing coming up in the state Senate.
We need to pack the hearing room with pro-choice supporters and show these legislators that there will be a price to pay for shutting down Louisiana clinics.
