The Urvashi Vaid Legacy Fund
We are proud to introduce the Urvashi Vaid Legacy Fund, created in honor of Urvashi's lifelong dedication to human rights and social justice. This fund will provide vital support to some of the most marginalized members of our community: LGBTQ women and nonbinary people of color who are running for office.
Urvashi’s unwavering commitment to equity and advocacy has inspired this initiative, ensuring that her legacy lives on by empowering the next generation of courageous leaders. By removing barriers and creating opportunities, the Urvashi Vaid Legacy Fund seeks to transform representation and continue the fight for justice and equality for all.
As part of this initiative, we are excited to invite you to a special virtual screening of the documentary There Are Things To Do, which chronicles Urvashi’s incredible life and work. The screening will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 6 PM, followed by a Q&A with the Director and Producer, Mike and Fermin. It’s a powerful opportunity to celebrate Urvashi's legacy together and reflect on the continued work ahead.
