Holle Weiss-Friedman

Holle Weiss-Friedman has been a Glynn County resident since 1978. She is a Domestic Relations Attorney serving Glynn and six surrounding counties. Holle was the Brunswick MunicipalCourt Judge Pro Tem and Mediator and Collaborative Counsel with the Family Law Bar statewide.  She served on the State Bar of Ethics Panel, admitted to practice in the GA Court of Appeals, the GA Supreme Court, the US District Court for the Southern District of Georgia and the 11^th Circuit Court of Appeals. Acted as Guardian Ad Litem for dependent children, created precedent on grandparents rights, children’s rights, and challenged DFCS placements in the best interest of children. Holle is not beholden to any special interests and can and will act independently with character and good judgement to advance progressive, inclusive, and forward thinking policies in the legislature for her constituents here in Southeast Georgia and the Golden Isles.

Laurie Thompson

For 35 years, I’ve been delivering solutions—as an attorney, government budget policy writer, and community advocate. As a former Republican working in the Reagan White House, I can build bridges between Republicans and Democrats, start real conversations, and bring people together to solve problems. I’m running because our district deserves leadership focused on good outcomes for all—leadership that returns power to everyday people rather than corporations and billionaires, and that builds consensus to pass strong legislation that reflects the best solutions. My agenda centers on strengthening economic opportunity and jobs, infrastructure, schools, healthcare access, and home ownership, while ensuring fair taxation, responsible investment in rural Georgia, and protection of the beautiful environment that defines our coastal Georgia region.
