Showing Up for Racial Justice

Donate to the Movement for Black Lives Fund & SURJ

A critical piece of the work we all need to do is donate to Black-led organizations. We who believe in creating the Other America Anne Braden spoke of - a United States where millions of people act as part of a multi-racial majority for racial justice. We have to be all-in, sharing our hearts, our minds, our bodies, our spirits - and our dollars.

For our work to be powerful, we need to fund our movements - each giving what we can to support both SURJ and the Movement for Black Lives.

Will you give a monthly donation today that will be shared equally between the Movement for Black Lives and SURJ?

As the Movement for Black Lives describes, "We are fighting for a different kind of world, one in which Black folks stand united in a deep, abiding love for our people. Our movement is about people working together to bring forth the change we want to see everyday. In every community meeting, every door knocked, every march, every act of civil disobedience and every rally, Black people are taking care of one another in the face of brutal police violence."

The Movement for Black Lives Fund is managed by the Movement for Black Lives Resource Table and will support organizations building power at the local, state and national levels, the M4BL Collaborative Tables & Spaces – Policy Table, Direct Action, Resource Strategy, Convenings and a range of other needs as identified by movement leaders.

To donate to the Movement for Black Lives Fund by CHECK: Please make checks payable to M4BL/AFGJ and mail to Alliance for Global Justice at 225 E. 26th Street, Suite 1, Tucson, AZ 85713

All donations to the Movement for Black Lives Fund are tax deductible through our fiscal sponsor, Alliance for Global Justice.

SURJ works in majority-white communities in deep solidarity with communities of color to grow the political base of support for racial and economic justice. We know white voters and white communities play a critical role in elections - and that the right works hard to keep white people separated from movements for justice. SURJ's organizing focuses on bringing more white people into multi-racial campaigns and movements for justice.

Because SURJ is a 501c4 organization doing political, advocacy and lobbying work, your gifts are not tax deductible.
