Friends,
I ran in 2020 as an unapologetically Black, queer young candidates. In my time in office I have introduced bold, people centered legislation ever since. From increasing minimum wage increased to police accountability to abortion access, I have fought for working class Rhode Islanders.
In the 2023-24 session, I have taken on the fight for tenant rights. As a champion for renters, and as a renter my self, I have worked tirelessly to give tenants more tools and protections in state law and have sponsored a package of tenant protection legislation.
My role in the Rhode Island Senate is all about hope. I firmly believe in hope AND I know that everyday we must all work together to put that hope into action and results for the community that need it most.
By chipping in what you can, whether it’s $23 or $200, you’ll be helping maintain a grassroots campaign and show how serious we are about hope, action, and results.
In solidarity,
Tiara
