Maine Gun Safety Foundation

Support the Maine Gun Safety Coalition Foundation!

Education Saves Lives.

The Maine Gun Safety Coalition Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to educating Mainers about firearm violence and how to prevent it. The Foundation also provides Maine residents the means to reduce gun tragedies in their homes and communities.

Your gift to the Maine Gun Safety Foundation will provide vital resources to support Maine-based gun violence educational efforts, including:

MGSCF/MAAP Pediatricians Program:

In 2026, MGSCF is proud to partner with the Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics to provide new training materials for pediatric healthcare providers across Maine on lethal means counseling, accompanied by the distribution of handgun lock boxes. By educating parents about the merits of secure firearm storage and providing the means for them to practice it, we can prevent firearm tragedies.

Free Cable Locks and Lock Boxes:

As of 2025, MGSCF has begun distribution of free handgun lock boxes to Maine households with children. In addition, the Foundation has distributed over 25,000 free firearm cable locks to Maine police departments, sheriffs' offices, social services agencies, medical facilities, other organizations, and any individual who asks for one.

Summary of Maine Gun Laws:

A comprehensive digest of all firearms regulations currently in effect in the state of Maine, our third edition of the Summary of Maine Gun Laws has just been published.

This Gift is Tax Deductible. Thank you for joining our movement to help prevent gun violence and gun-related tragedies in Maine!
