The Mainstream Coalition is a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization founded more than 25 years ago to protect the separation of church and state in Kansas. Over the years we've grown our body of work in order to defend the dignity, rights, and freedom of every Kansan against discrimination and partisan extremism. We believe engaging the political process is critical in securing and defending those rights.
The Mainstream Coalition asserts that ALL Kansans must be treated equally under the law, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We support efforts to affirm this equality in State statute, and oppose any measure that seeks to discriminate against LGBTQ+ individual, families, and communities.
