Manchester Committee to Elect House Democrats Event

Dear Friend,

As a member of the 2014 Committee to Elect House Democrats, I am asking you to join me at my home for a summer backyard barbecue on Thursday, August 14, 2014, to raise money for the Committee to Elect House Democrats. The location is 76 Island Pond Road, Manchester, NH and the time is 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. We will have refreshments available and will be joined by House Speaker Teri Norelli, Senator Donna Soucy and Executive Councilor Chris Pappas.

Every two years, we have the opportunity and the challenge of selecting the representatives from our communities to send to the NH House of Representatives. Four hundred citizens are selected to serve with more than one hundred seats filled by someone new every two years. In September 2013, I filled the Ward 7 seat and hope to be re-elected in November 2014. I saw first hand why keeping the majority is so critical. With your help, we have the power to decide which outcome we get in 2014.

In 2010, the majority shifted dramatically to the right. The legislature that was put in power attacked the rights of workers and women, dismantled essential services and replaced fair process with abuse of power. We cannot let that happen again.

In 2012, we worked together and with your support, Democrats will took back the majority. I hope you will join us in working to repeat 2012 successes.

Speaker Norelli will talk with us about what the House has accomplished, what we are still working on and answer our questions about the work ahead of us. Getting out the vote is essential. Please join me in welcoming Speaker Norelli to Manchester.
