I believe Sangamon County can lead the way in building a justice system that is transparent, fair, and accountable to the people it serves. Too often, government has left citizens in the dark, making decisions without the input or trust of the community. My vision as sheriff is to change that by ensuring open communication, accessible information, and clear accountability at every level of the Sheriff’s Office. Sangamon County deserves leadership that listens, explains, and works side by side with residents to solve problems.

A safer, stronger community requires more than tough talk, it requires smart action. That means investing in mental health resources, ensuring our deputies receive the best training, and working with schools and neighborhoods to prevent crime before it happens. My focus will always be on protecting families, keeping children safe, and addressing the root causes of crime so that every resident can feel secure in their home and community.
