As the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress and one of the first Muslim women in Congress, Rashida has faced Islamophobic attacks and death threats, including from her colleagues in the U.S. House.
But she does not back down from the fight for oppressed people in her community and around the world. This year alone, she has fundraised over $150,000 for U.S.-based organizations supporting her district, marginalized people across the country, and people in crisis in Haiti and Palestine.
In Congress, Rashida is one of the few principled Congresspeople who vote against allocating billions of our tax dollars each year to U.S. imperialism.
And she’s introduced groundbreaking legislation like the Dismantle Mass Incarceration for Public Health Act, which would release the most vulnerable incarcerated and detained people during the pandemic and for a year after.
Rashida is committed to fighting to end oppression everywhere, and we need her bold voice and leadership in Congress.
Will you chip in $5 or more to Rashida’s campaign so she can keep up the fight for true justice and safety for all of us?
