Hello, my name is Marcelino Quinonez and I am running to be the next Phoenix City Council Member from District 7!
My community has always been at the heart of my work. From my time as an educator at Espiritu NFL YET to my time serving our families on Roosevelt School Board, to leading nonprofit efforts at St. Vincent de Paul, taking on a director role at Arizona State University, and representing our community as a legislator from 2021 to 2024 - community has always been at the heart of my service.
At every stop during my journey, I have always put our community above all else. At the legislature, I helped pass historic increases in funding for education, led the charge to create Low Income Housing Tax Credits for our families, and fought to protect our community from attacks.
On the Phoenix City Council, I will carry on this spirit of community. I commit to continue leading in order to ensure that our people have access to high paying jobs, affordable housing, and feel safe in their communities.
Phoenix is the future and it runs through District 7.
