Margaret Craven has returned to the Legislature, having previously served three terms in the Maine House and three in the Senate. In the past, she has served on both the Health and Human Services and Appropriations Committees. Margaret was born in the Republic of Ireland, moving to the U.S. in 1963. Arriving in Maine, she earned her high school diploma and then bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Southern Maine. She has lived in Lewiston for many years and worked with disabled and senior citizens before retiring in 2005. Margaret has two grown children, Walter Matthew and T.J., and three grandsons, Finn, Declan and Joseph.
