My name is Margarito Zapata, and I am running for Caldwell County Commissioner of Precinct 3. Serving my community has always been a big part of my life, and one that I do not shy away from. Aside from being a full time Austin Fire Fighter, I have been a volunteer firefighter for Tri-Community since I was 17 years old. I have also been on the Prairie Lea ISD school board for 19 years, serving as President for the past 8 years. My father served as Caldwell County Constable of Precinct 3 for 2 terms and also ran our family business, Zapata’s Upholstery, since 1978 where I have worked, and started running on my own for the past 8 years of his passing.
I reside in Fentress Texas, where I am a husband to my wonderful wife, and father to our two wonderful girls. Being so involved in this area all of my life, I know there is a lot of growth coming; and I believe we need someone that is going to help steer that growth in the most beneficial way to our community.
If elected as county commissioner, it is my duty to be as transparent as possible in all of our decisions for our community. I am willing and excited to put in the work by going out and seeing these communities; and listening to the concerns and suggestions of the people. Every town within our Precinct differs between problems and concerns, but if elected as County Commissioner I will try my best to bring attention to these concerns of each area, and our Precinct as a whole. Change is coming, and I want us to be able to steer it the best we can. With that being said, I am asking for your support and vote, to be elected as Caldwell County Precinct 3 Commissioner.
