Engineering a Brighter Future
Marilyn Carter is an electrical engineer, a member of the Orange County Planning Board, a leader in the local Democratic Party, and she's running for Orange County Commissioner in District 1.
The Board of County Commissioners is developing long-range plans that address land use, affordable housing, climate action, economic development, capital investment for our schools, and Medicaid expansion. We've seen historic investments in infrastructure from our federal government, and large sums of money coming in from the opioid settlement.
Marilyn's professional career in operations and her grassroots organizing work have been about building inclusive communities to ensure equitable outcomes. It's exactly what County Government is about.
Marilyn is running to make Orange County the best place in our state for all people to live, learn, love, work, and grow.
