Mark Polsdofer is running for State Senate in Michigan’s 28th District, which includes most of Clinton County, most of Shiawassee County and part of Ingham County.
As an Eagle Scout from Troop 446 in Saline, Mark learned early that leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about responsibility. It’s about showing up, doing the work, and leaving your community better than you found it. That lesson shaped the course of his life.
For nearly two decades, Mark has worked in government affairs at the Michigan Department of Transportation, helping move complex policy from idea to implementation. He’s also served the past seven years as an Ingham County Commissioner, balancing his professional career with local leadership.
Earlier in his career, Mark served as Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for Governor Jennifer M. Granholm and worked in both the Michigan Senate and House of Representatives. He knows how Lansing works — and more importantly, how to make it work for the people he represents.
