Friend,
My late husband, Congressman George Brown represented the Riverside and San Bernardino area for over thirty years. In Mark Takano, we have an opportunity to elect to Congress someone that can carry on the strong tradition of public service for everyone.
Last week, I added my name to the growing list of Riverside area residents supporting Mark Takano for Congress. Today, I am asking you if you can help us continue the legacy of my late husband by contributing $25, $100, $250 or $500 to Mark’s campaign.
When the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964, my husband was on the front lines, helping to ensure equality for people of all races and religions. Today, we need Mark to help continue that fight with marriage equality and the Dream Act.
My husband helped establish the first federal funding for researching climate change in 1978. Today, we need Mark to help continue the fight for climate change awareness and environmental protection.
In 1992 my husband fought to end US taxpayer money from going to Central American export processing zones, where workers were being mistreated and abused.
Today, we need Mark to help ensure our taxpayer money is spent locally, creating American jobs.
I hope you will join me in supporting Mark Takano for Congress and make a contribution to his campaign today.
Thank you,
Marta Macias Brown
