Martha Hennessey for NH State Senate

It has been a sincere privilege to serve NH District 5 in the State Senate since 2016. With privilege comes responsibilty.

I am so grateful to those of you who have supported me along the way. I, quite literally, could not have done it without you. Asking for your financial support has never been easy for me, and yet I am beyond lucky to be able to count on my dear friends and neighbors to support my candidacy. I could not be more humbled and thankful for your continuing help.

This is not an easy time to be in politics, as you certainly know. I am committed to bringing civility and compassion back into the NH State House. I know it won’t be easy, but I also am certain that it is absolutely critical in order to protect and provide for our NH citizens.

In the Senate, I have served on the Health and Human Services and the Judiciary Committees, fighting to protect our children’s rights to a safe and healthy childhood at school, in daycare, and at home. I will continue to champion those most in need, leaving no NH citizen behind. I will fight to protect civil rights for all, regardless of race, religion, or whom you love. NH must demand job training, liveable wages, paid family leave, accessible and affordable healthcare, safety in our schools, and fair taxation, among other initiatives designed to make New Hampshire the best place to live, work, study, and raise a family.

Given the huge sums of money now involved in elections, the road to November could be challenging. I am asking for your financial support, because you know me. You know that I will work hard to be re-elected and even harder once I return to the NH Senate. I am also committed to supporting the impressive new and returning candidates who share my goals.

I promise to bring the same compassion, dedication, and hard work to the Senate as I have brought to other areas of my life.

Martha Hennessey, Candidate for Re-Election to the NH Senate, District 5
