I am Davidson County Juvenile Court Clerk Lonnell Matthews, Jr. and I am seeking re-election in 2026. Nashville has made significant progress in improving youth safety and reducing youth crime in the last 8 years, but we still have more work to do. I want to continue to lead our community in the right direction, creating a national standard for youth justice that is accountable, resourceful, transformative, compassionate and restorative.

Together, we can improve community supports and services for parents, grandparents, legal guardians, teachers, mentors and other caregivers.

Together, we can increase opportunities and pathways for every child, keeping them on track toward success.
