It’s hard to believe that we are closing in on the end of the year and starting to gear up for another re-election campaign. If you’re like me, I’m sure you have been bombarded by campaign solicitations this year. That’s why we have been quiet and focused on continuing to deliver terrific constituent services at City Hall for our District.
But, on October 9th, I will be having my one and only large fundraiser of 2014 and I need your help! I am writing to ask you to consider supporting my re-election effort. It’s a celebration of my 35th birthday, and I’m hoping that you’ll consider making a donation of $35 or more.

In 2013 we won in incredible fashion. Not only did we beat our opponent in every precinct across the district, but we set a new record for total votes for a District Councilor.
People from across the District stood with us because we have delivered tangible results to constituents. Our office can show proven accomplishments: working to strengthen the Boston Public Schools, increasing police/fire/EMS presence and support, introducing ideas and actions to build a greener city, and bringing new businesses and jobs to our downtown and neighborhoods. Additionally, we’ve worked with the Menino and Walsh administrations to fully fund new park initiatives, tot lots, major library renovations, and upgrades to our schools. In terms of constituent services, my dedicated team and I have worked to solve over 800 individual constituent cases. And we’re just getting started.
But I need your help. As you know, running for office is an expensive enterprise. Signs, literature, staff, bumper stickers, and sponsorships add up to tens of thousands of dollars. We’re fundraising now to lay the groundwork for our 2015 reelection. I am hopeful that you’ll join me at our only large fundraising event of the year.
