California Republicans are launching a backdoor attack on Democrats’ supermajority in the legislature -- and we only have seven days to stop it. With Chevron’s backing, Republicans have now launched a recall campaign against Senator Josh Newman (CA-29) -- and they’re literally tricking the public into signing the recall petition by saying that signing the petition will repeal a recently enacted gasoline tax.
