Like so many people in Waltham, and across the country, I know what it’s like to get knocked down. During the 2008 recession, my family almost lost our business and home. We were lucky to make it. I was able to advance my career as an educator while earning a Masters in mental health counseling, and we were able to purchase our home in the Lakeview neighborhood of Waltham. But too many of our families, especially during COVID-19, are still struggling.
We need real leadership that’s transparent, accountable, and fights for you. Beacon Hill has become a refuge for special interests, including lobbyists, big developers, and corporate CEOs. That is not the campaign I will run, and it is not the leadership I will bring to The People's House! I am honored to be a part of a grassroots movement of political leaders who are supported by the people, who listen to the people, and who govern for the people!
I’m not a career politician. I haven’t been running for political office every year since 1988, and I don't have a "war chest" full of special interest money. I’m a Mom, an educator, and a union member who is not afraid to lead the fight for housing affordability, climate resilience, education, and an economic recovery that works for everyone. I’m running for State Rep and I humbly ask for your support.
