Johnson County Democrats Annual 2023 Hall of Fame Awards Reception
The 2023 Annual Johnson County Democrats Hall of Fame Awards will be held on May 13th at the Heights Ballroom of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel at 901 Melrose Ave. in Iowa City.
This year we again celebrate the amazing contributions to our party over the years with induction of these outstanding local Democrats into the Johnson County Democrats Hall of Fame.
Our 2023 inductees for are:
- Former Iowa State Senator Joe Bolkcom
- Former Iowa State Representative Mary Mascher
- Ms. Sally Murray
Also receiving awards for their service to the Johnson County Democrats over the last year
are the following individuals:
Bill Gerhard will receive the Major Impact Award
Bonnie McAreavy will receive the Above and Beyond Award
Julie Persons will receive the Volunteer of the Year Award
Please join us in honoring these amazing Democrats from Johnson
County.
There will be coffee, desserts, and plenty of old and new war stories! A cash bar will be available.

*Those not able to pay the full ticket price are welcomed and urged to attend. No one is ever turned away from an event hosted by the Johnson County Democrats because of an inability to pay.
