Join Us for Our Wednesday, May 20th Scholarship Luncheon

Join us on Wednesday, May 20th for one of the most special luncheons of the year, The Scholarship Luncheon! This year, through the generosity of our members and friends, DWPA will be awarding $2,000 scholarships to four highly motivated local high school seniors committed to pursuing higher education.
The 5/20 speaker is David Klever, who is currently serving his second term on the Mountain Institute Career and Technical Education District Board (CTED) representing the Prescott Unified School District.

The luncheon meeting is held at the Centennial Center. (989 Wineglass Dr, Prescott)

Registration for the luncheon is REQUIRED so we can get an accurate meal count to The Center. Please email events@dwpaaz.org for any reservations with payment at the door, cancellations, ticket transfer requests, special accessibility or financial needs, or luncheon questions.


REMINDER : Doors DO NOT open until 11:00 am. Program announcements begin at 11:30 with luncheon served around noon. Social time is from 1:30 to 2 pm.


Buffet:

-Crispy Iceberg lettuce with Roasted Corn, Tomatoes and Cucumbers with Salsa Ranch and Vinaigrette

-Green Chili Pork Tamale Pie

-Refried Beans

-Spanish Rice

-Chips and Salsa

 

Plated Vegetarian Option:

-Grilled Vegetable Fajitas with Spanish Rice and Beans


Desserts for Democracy provided this month will include gluten free and vegan options.


Raffle: This month's raffle item, donated by Linda Goldinger - "Just Add Ice Cream" Basket, complete with 4 stainless steel ice cream bowls, 6 milkshake glasses with stainless steel spoons, at-home rolled ice cream maker kit, ice cream cone holder, 2 vintage dessert bowls, mochi ice cream stuffed animal, a stainless steel ice cream scoop, and a $25 gift card to Frannie's Cones and Coffee.


Raffle tickets will be sold at the luncheon and cost $2.00/ticket, $5/3 tickets, $10/13 tickets. Proceeds go to the Scholarship and Political Action funds of DWPA.


Refund Policy: All tickets must be purchased through ActBlue or reservations for payment at the venue must be made by noon on the Friday prior to the lunch. Any cancellations of this month's Act Blue ticket purchase and request for refund must be done by noon on the Friday prior to the luncheon.


Unless a luncheon or event is cancelled by DWPA, all ticket purchases not cancelled by the above-deadline are non-refundable and non-transferable to a future luncheon or event. Tickets may be transferred to another person if the original purchaser cannot attend.
