Support Maya's Campaign for Whatcom County Charter Review Commissioner, District 2!

NOVEMBER 3rd UPDATE:

VOTING IS IN FULL SWING!

Local down-ballot races that truly engage voter's civic participation are HOW WE GET OUT THIS VOTE!

I have knocked on so many doors of people unwilling to vote until I tell them about our Charter Review Commission, and our opportunity to pass Ranked Choice Voting in our County! People are truly fed up with polarized party nonsense and tired of feeling like their votes don't even count.

This commission is elected once every ten years, and convenes for just ONE year. It's kind of like a local constitutional convention, and only seven counties in WA State have this kind of "home rule" Charter.

Our charter allows us to set our own election policies, address government transparency and oversight, and protect specific rights and liberties. With the threats and harms of Project 2025 already rolling across our nation and into our state of WA, Whatcom County's Charter is more important than ever!

Campaigning requires money, and running for office is already a HUGE time and energy commitment for poor folks who run. This progressive down ballot campaign needs your help to reach voters!

Donate whatever amount works for you! Help me, to help US, GET OUT THIS HERSTORIC VOTE!

GOAL REACHED: Print goal! Walk cards to knock doors with! 🎉🚪🙌🏼🙏🏼 HUGE thanks to all who pushed an dug deep in shallow pockets to make this happen! 💖🗳️ Solidarity!✊🏼

*UPDATE! I ONLY HAVE about 200 of walk cards left after a 2,000+ print order! I've been knocking those doors! Thank you SO much to everyone who has helped me do that!

Stretch goal: yard signs!

WE DIDN'T MAKE THIS AS A FUNDRAISING GOAL, BUT I pulled an all-nighter 11/2 and made a little batch of 18 recyled yard signs! If you see them out and about, and they are knocked over or anything, please fix them! They were made with love!

I planted about 5 or six today, and in doing so, picked up and re-planted several of Colton Kaltendfeldt's signs that had been damaged, and fixed some No on 2117 signs.

If you're out and about, let's show candidate solidarity, folks!
