His four years of enabling Donald Trump and stoking conspiracies among supporters culminated in an attempted coup, which left five people dead at our nation's Capitol. In the midnight hours following the insurrection, Minority Leader McCarthy led 121 Republican House members in an attempt to block the certification of the presidential election in order to keep Donald Trump in power.
