Keep Bail Reform in Maryland Alive!


Black people have been trapped in the vicious money bail system long enough in Maryland. Now Maryland legislators are on the brink of passing House bill 983 which will undo all major progress towards ending the entire bail system. We are going to keep a watchful eye on those lawmakers who vote against our communities and make sure their contituants know about it with our MD Bail Reform Report Card. With your contribution, here are just some of things we'd like to do in order to protect Maryland families:

  • Mail the report card to voters in key districts to show which Maryland legislators killed bail reform.
  • Publish the report in a full page ad in an MD newspaper like the Baltimore Sun.
  • Create digital ads on Facebook that reach voters in key districts.
Maryland voters deserve elected leaders who will stand up for them. The legislators must fulfill the duty of supporting policies that will protect and strengthen our communities. Help us send a clear message to them now.
