Michele's Gun Violence Prevention Fundraiser
I am a volunteer with the Ohio Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. We are a grassroots organization fighting for common sense gun safety policies, like background checks for all gun sales. We've implemented a gun safety program called BeSMART, and have presented this throughout our communities, with the intention to prevent unintentional child shootings. I'm a grandmother of three, and I worry about their safety in our community, in a variety of ways, but especially around the issue of gun violence. My work with Moms has given me an opportunity to make a difference in making our community safer from gun violence. This June 2nd I'm #WearingOrange to recognize National Gun Violence Awareness Day and to honor victims of gun violence. I’m also raising money to support the work that I and thousands of others do in our state. I’m asking my friends to join in, please make a donation to our cause, help our organization continue to do the critical research needed to help decrease gun violence, to raise awareness, and to honor all those who have lost their voices, but continue to be in our hearts.
