Her passion for making mindfulness approachable for all audiences, all ages, all levels, with a focus on inspiring her students to live more freely, has made her class themes centered around both empowerement and peace :)

Dr. Calvin Sun for NYC Public Advocate

Dr. Calvin Sun’s journey from an ER physician to candidate for NYC Public Advocate is marked by a deep commitment to social justice and community empowerment. As a lifelong New Yorker, he has seen firsthand the impact of communities deprived of a basic safety net and has dedicated his life to ensuring that no one is left behind. His recent marriage and focus on homeownership and family planning have given him a unique perspective on the needs of emerging middle-class families. As a COVID-19 frontline defender and cancer survivor, he has shown what true leadership looks like in times of crisis. And as a first-generation AAPI immigrant, he continues to champion the rights and opportunities of immigrant families.
