The first $3,300 from an individual and the first $5,000 from a PAC will be allocated to the primary election, the next $3,300 from an individual and $5,000 from a PAC will be allocated to the general election, the next $3,300 from an individual and $5,000 from a PAC will be allocated to the general runoff election. Contributions or gifts to Jeff Merkley for Oregon are not tax deductible under federal law. An individual may contribute a maximum of $3,300 per election (the primary and general are separate elections). Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer for each individual whose aggregate contributions are in excess of $200 in an election cycle. Most Oregon tax filers may take a $50 per person or $100 per couple political tax credit. Married filers with adjusted gross income (AGI) over $200,000 and individuals with AGI over $100,000 are not eligible for the credit. Consult your tax advisor.
