Support Martin Heinrich - Something a Little Different

As I sat down to write our end of the month email to help us hit our $5,000 fundraising goal before November 30th, I decided to try something a little different.

Instead of writing about what the Republicans are doing wrong, I wanted to tell you about all of the things that Martin is doing in the Senate to help New Mexicans and all Americans.

He has taken a lead role on mining reform legislation to prevent the next Gold King Mine spill, which turned the Animas River orange in August as lead, arsenic and other toxic metals poured into this critical watershed.

Martin is also the lead sponsor of the bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act, which increases access to public lands, advances key conservation initiatives and boosts the outdoor recreation economy. After years of falling prey to political disagreement, Senator Heinrich finally navigating its bipartisan passage through committee.

Martin and his team are also working hard to serve New Mexico’s large veterans population. From fighting to fund the new Fort Stanton veteran’s cemetery to securing long overdue medals for our nation’s heroes, Martin is always seeking the recognition our men and women in uniform deserve.

And this is just a sample of the work that Martin is doing to help not only New Mexico, but also the entire country.
