Michael is passionate about the issues South Carolina’s hard-working families care about most; creating jobs by partnering with labor unions and local small businesses, affordable quality health care, educational opportunities, women's reproductive rights, pay equity for women, protecting Social Security and Medicare, effective climate change solutions, equality and justice for all, and defending our democracy.

Michael, a proud Lowcountry South Carolinian with a rich family history rooted in activism and public service, believes that leaders should prioritize progress over division; that those who we elect to represent us should take bold action to actually get things done for the American people.
