I am Dr. Michelle “Rosie” Rosemond, an educator, researcher, data scientist, author, former higher-education executive, and competitive powerlifter. I have spent more than three decades in education, leadership, research, and community service, including serving as a university vice president responsible for people, programs, multimillion-dollar budgets, strategy, and student success.
My work as a researcher and data scientist has trained me to look beyond individual issues to identify patterns, ask better questions, and use evidence to inform decisions.
As Jackson County grows. I believe residents deserve leaders who listen to their experiences, examine the data, communicate clearly, collaborate with others, and plan for the future.
I am running for Jackson County Commissioner because I love our community and believe my combination of executive leadership, research, data science, education, and community engagement can help District 3 navigate this important period of growth and change.

- This contribution complies with the provisions of the Ethics in Government Act, O.C.G.A. Sec 21-5-30, et seq.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
