You are cordially invited to attend the Democratic Foundation of Orange County's mid-year event - an intimate dinner with Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones. Join us on Saturday, July 15th at 5:00 PM at the Irvine Hilton for what is sure to be a great evening!
As California's Insurance Commissioner, Dave regulates the largest insurance market in the country. Dave has proven his commitment to the consumers and businesses of our state by protecting us time and time again. In his tenure Dave has helped Californians save billions of dollars in premiums through the regulation and review of insurance rates. When insurance company mergers threatened to put insureds at risk, he fought to make sure insureds did not suffer. As commissioner, Dave has a duty to enforce the California Insurance Code and investigate cases of insurance fraud. His work in the California Department of Insurance has led to nearly 4,626 arrests.
One of Dave's most important contributions to the prosperity of Californians is his role in implementing Obamacare in our state. With Dave's leadership, California has been able to act by expanding Medi-Cal services and guaranteeing the availability of coverage to individuals. He has also helped businesses comply with the affordable care act by sponsoring effective legislation.
California now covers approximately 5 million more people thanks to the implementation of the Affordable Care Act-an impressive fact that means Dave's responsibility in ensuring the protection of California's insureds is now greater than ever. Dave has been a strong advocate for Obamacare, fighting strongly for the coverage of California's insureds in the wake of consistent threats against the Affordable Care Act.
The mid-year event is a special opportunity to really have dinner with Dave. We will all be seated at one table to enjoy a meal together. By its nature, seating for this event is extremely limited. We highly encourage you to make your reservations early.
Help us get ready for 2018! The cost of this dinner will be $1,100.00 per plate. Contributions from this event help the Foundation in its mission to get Democrats elected. 2018 will be an important year for Democrats in Orange County, and we need your help to turn Orange County blue!
