Our beloved annual walk with Peter Schoenberger, one of Ulster County's top birders, to identify birds by their songs, followed by delicious tea and cakes.

The walk will begin at 8:00am promptly, so please arrive by 7:45am.
The birds are up early!
Learn the basics of identifying local birds by their songs and sounds. The walk will be led by Peter Schoenberger, one of Ulster County’s top birders, who will show us patterns of sound and help put a visual to the avian orchestra we hear all the time. After the walk, we will enjoy some tea and cakes together.
What to bring:
- Binoculars if you have them
- Favored Bug Spray
- Hat/ Sunblock
- Comfy clothing and shoes for easy walking
- Water
- Note pad and pen
- Rain Gear if needed
The birding part of this event will be along driveways, a road, and possibly hiking paths. There will be no difficult terrain or hard hiking.
Proceeds benefit the WDC's crucial 2026 election efforts.

- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
