Hi, I’m Mikayla Roark, and I’m running to be your next Magistrate for Owen County. Eight years ago, my husband and I moved here, and this community welcomed us with open arms. Now I want to give back.
I believe in Owen County’s strengths and potential. We’re a hardworking, close-knit community, but in some areas we are being left behind. I want to help us move forward with action, accountability, and teamwork.
My career has been dedicated to service and advocating for vulnerable populations, teaching me compassion, collaboration, and real solutions. As your magistrate, I promise to listen, lead, and work every day to represent your voice, encourage smart growth, and help build a future where we can all thrive.

- Advocate for vulnerable populations, especially in homelessness and housing
- Committed to community-focused decision-making rooted in compassion and accountability
- First-generation college graduate with a Bachelors in Political Science and Master’s in Public Administration
