My name is Miko Pickett, I am a businesswoman with 20+ years as a corporate executive, 10+ years as owner/CEO of several small businesses and 5 years experience as an Executive Director for community based non-profit.

I plan to leverage my vast business skills, to lead and engage the beautiful city of Mullins to a brighter future for all her citizens. Mullins is positioned for success thanks to growth that is in neighboring counties Myrtle Beach (Horry) and Florence.

My platform will focus on 3 main concepts:

Economic Development

• Industries - be a listening ear on ideas on how we can work together to improve their economic outcomes for their in 
• Small business - Work with the chamber to development strategies that encourage the community to shop local
• New Small Business (Chamber) - Encourage and support the development of new business to enhance our Main Street and other key areas 
• Young Entrepreneurs Commission

Housing 

• Focus on tearing down blight in our city - old abandoned houses impact us all
• Work with experts to find creative ways to fund and build housing for working families and affordable housing

City Beautification

• Parks, neighborhoods and every nook and cranny of our wonderful city
• Youth Artist Initiative
