Shelter in the Storm: A Mindfulness Refuge for Activists
10-Week Workshop
Starting Friday, June 26
4 PM -5 PM PT
Zoom video conference
Co-sponsored by Field Team 6

In response to the overwhelming positive feedback we received from our first workshop, The Power of Impermanence, we are happy to announce that we are launching a 10-week workshop beginning Friday, June 26th called Shelter in the Storm: A Mindfulness Refuge for Activists.
As our nation marches towards the most important election in a generation, seismic cultural shifts have emerged to make the path fraught with division, incivility, distrust, and disagreements on what constitutes basic reality. How can an activist be of service without being used up in the process?
The practice of Mindfulness Meditation can be a peaceful warrior's non-partisan path, reinforcing personal and shared values, clarifying perception, and restoring energy and faith in ourselves as part of a larger whole that can't survive without us.
Each session will include a lecture, meditation practice, and discussion.
Join UCLA Mindfulness Teacher and Psychotherapist, Brian Shiers (www.Aligned-mind.com) on Zoom every Friday from 4 PM - 5 PM beginning June 26th.
