In May of 2023, I was appointed to the Salem School Committee through a joint convention of the School Committee and City Council. This appointment followed a retirement, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to fill the vacancy.
Excited to announce I’m running for a full term in this Fall election! I’m deeply committed to continuing my service and bringing a perspective that is often overlooked in local government. My personal experience with homelessness and poverty has instilled in me a profound understanding of the value of fostering meaningful relationships in community, and doing what I can to advocate for a more equitable school system. I believe this perspective will be invaluable as we work together to establish educational goals and policies for our scholars that align with our values of equity, belonging, and opportunity.
