Right To The City Vote Boston’s Right to the City Coalition brings together movement organizations from across neighborhoods and issue areas — Alternatives for Community and Environment, Boston Workers Alliance, Chinese Progressive Association, City Life/Vida Urbana, New England United 4 Justice, and Neighbors United for a Better East Boston — to fight for social, economic, and racial justice in Boston. Their approach centers around base-building, and they work to build sustainable movement power, both for the coalition as a whole and for each of its constituent groups. RTCV played a critical role in Councilor Mejia’s 2019 win, making 20,000 contact attempts to 10,000 unique voters. In an election that is won by one vote, that kind of mobilization is powerful.
