Contribution rules
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I am not a federal contractor.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
An individual may contribute up to $14,000 and a multicandidate committee (“PAC”) may contribute up to $20,000 to Mike McGuire for Congress. The first $3,500 of a person’s contribution and the first $5,000 of a PAC’s contribution will be designated for the special general election and the next $3,500/$5,000 will be designated for the primary election. The next $3,500/$5,000 will be designated for the general election and the final $3,500/$5,000 will be designated for the special runoff election.
Federal law also requires us to collect and report the name, mailing address, and employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 per election cycle.
Contributions or gifts to "Mike McGuire for Congress" are not tax-deductible for income tax purposes. Only personal, partnerships, and political action committee checks please, we are unable to accept any corporate funds.
Contributions and gifts to Mike McGuire for Congress are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Mike McGuire for Congress may accept contributions from an individual totaling up to $7,000 ($3,500 for the primary election and $3,500 for the general election) and from a qualified PAC up to $10,000 ($5,000 for the primary election and $5,000 for the general election). Federal law prohibits contributions to the campaign from corporations, labor organizations and national banks; from any person contributing another person’s funds; from foreign nationals who lack permanent resident status; and from federal government contractors. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle.
