Support Mike O'Brien for CV School Board

In 2023, my wife Courtney and I both decided to retire from the U.S. Marine Corps after 20 years of service as pilots, strategic planners, squadron commanders, and parents of two wonderful children. Both of us were born and raised here in PA, come from families of public school educators, and recognize that the public school education we received formed the bedrock of our success as leaders of Marines.

After concluding our Marine Corps careers, for the first time in our lives, we had a choice of where to live. Like many others, we chose to live here in Cumberland Valley because of family, community, and the desire for our children to experience the academic, athletic, and extracurricular excellence of Cumberland Valley School District.

CV and the Hampden Township community has welcomed our family with open arms, and I am running for School Board to say thank you.

This election isn't about Democrats vs. Republicans. It's about voters of both parties standing in unison to ensure that Cumberland Valley remains a beacon of educational success. Your children, grandchildren, and young neighbors deserve to have the resources, curriculum, educators, support staff, and administrators they need to develop into future leaders in society. This must be fostered in an environment that is safe and authentic, without exception.  

 

Winning this seat in Hampden Township will be critical to fending off a potential “Moms For Liberty” majority funded by the extremist "Take Back Our Schools PAC" who uses fear mongering, divisiveness, and conspiracy theories to achieve its goals of dismantling public schools and undermining the CV School District staff who pour their heart and soul into our future every single day. 

For this reason, I ask that you join me in the fight for our Cumberland Valley schools and our children.
