Women comprise just 27 percent of Congress members, only one-third of whom are women of color. On the state level across the country, a mere 31 percent of state legislators are women.

Christy Holstege is a social justice attorney, community organizer, candidate for State Assembly, who currently serves as the Outgoing Mayor of Palm Springs.
Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes was elected in November 2016 to represent California’s 60th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, a portion of Riverside, and unincorporated communities of Home Gardens, El Cerrito, and Coronita. She currently serves as Chair of the Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy.
Jocelyn Yow is the youngest woman of color to serve as a mayor in California. She was elected to the Eastvale City Council in 2018 and served as mayor pro tem before becoming mayor in 2020.
