Dear fellow MoveOn member,
I've spent decades trying to understand how power works—who has it, who doesn't, and what happens when the people who have it decide they don't have to answer to anyone.
So when I tell you this moment is different, I'm being precise.
MoveOn and the No Kings coalition are preparing for No Kings: Vote Early on October 17. And this one is different.
The first No Kings actions brought millions into the streets to say that power in this country doesn't belong to kings, billionaires, or politicians who think they're above the law.
October 17 is the next step.
Those in power and their billionaire allies are undermining trust in the vote, rolling back voting rights, and making voting less accessible.
So we're turning people power into voter power. October 17 will be a nationwide day of early voting and action to protect the vote.
This is where MoveOn comes in—and why we need your help.
MoveOn is one of the core organizations coordinating No Kings nationally. Our team works directly with volunteer hosts across the country, training them, safety-planning with them, and making sure events have what they need to succeed.

I don't send fundraising text messages lightly. But sending a message isn't enough anymore. Now we have to do the organizing that makes democracy actually function.
In America, the people choose their leaders. Leaders don't get to choose who votes.
