We can’t sugarcoat it—mailers are expensive!

Monday, October 23 at 8am the polls open in the 2023 Texas Constitutional Election. Please look up your polling location and go vote. On your ballot will be 14 constitutional amendments for the State of Texas, 5 bond measures for Collin County, and for our constituents in Allen 5 bond measures for the city. I strongly urge you to vote for these propositions:

• Prop. 2 which will expand child care availability by exempting childcare centers from property taxes.
• Prop. 4 which will fulfill a campaign promise and provide property tax relief by increasing homestead exemptions for millions of Texans. It will also reduce Plano ISD’s recapture payment by 41%.
• Prop. 5 which will promote science research in Texas by investing interest from the ESF into the university research fund.
• Prop. 6 which will secure water for future Texans by creating the Texas Water Fund for conservation & new water supply.
• Prop. 8 which will provide rural broadband by creating the Texas Broadband Infrastructure Fund.
• Prop. 9 which will fulfill a campaign promise and give retired teachers a raise by automatically approving cost-of-living adjustments for retired teachers.
• Prop. 14 which will secure new parks for future Texans by creating the Texas Centennial Parks Conservation Fund.

You have probably started receiving mailers about this next election, which will have lasting impacts on Texas for generations to come. In an effort to educate voters and drive voter turnout our office has sent a mailer out to 5,000 households here in House District 70 to let our constituents know about this election.
