MRF NAACP SHC Scholarship

The local MRF branch of NAACP has awarded scholarships to well-deserving, qualifying high school students in Montgomery County, Radford, and Floyd County since 1998. Effective 2023, the branch will award up to five $2,000 scholarships to eligible students. Those eligible are graduating high school students who are members of the MRF NAACP Youth Council and/or a child or grandchild or dependent of a current MRF branch member.

The SHC scholarship is named for Samuel Harris Clark, a past President of this branch for four terms, who dedicated his life to public service, labor rights, and racial justice.
