Like you, we are committed to improving Montana and ensuring Democratic success across the state, and we have good news: The College Democrats of Montana has been renewed. We have established UM, MSU-Bozeman, and MSU-Billings Chapters. With our shared vision of Democratic success in Montana, we aim to reinvigorate young voters to win elections. In order to do such, we need your help and timely donations so that we can hit the ground running.
We want to assure you that we take our responsibility to steward your donations seriously. As an
organization, we are committed to financial transparency, registered as a C2, and held to the standards of such. Rest assured that every dollar contributed to the College Democrats of Montana will be utilized wisely, ensuring that our initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively.
The Tufts Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) ranked the Montana Senate race #4 in our Youth Electoral Significance Index (YESI), indicating that it was an election in which young people had the potential to make an outsized impact. “In Montana, youth were responsible for propelling incumbent Democratic Senator Jon Tester to a close victory (50.2% to 46.9%—a difference of less than 17,000 votes). We know such success can be duplicated this year, not only in the Senate race but also in other democratic races in the state, including the newly drawn state legislative districts. With a strong youth turnout, Democrats have the potential to make significant gains in the Montana State Legislature.
Our key initiatives for the upcoming year:
1. Engaging Campus Community: Through monthly speaker events, we aim to provide valuable insights and perspectives on political issues, fostering a culture of discourse.
2. Outreach and Recruitment: With weekly tabling events, we will reach over 150 students each
time, expanding our network and encouraging active participation.
3. Policy Advocacy: By partnering with organizations, we seek to influence legislation and
promote progressive policies, aiming for tangible outcomes.
4. Leadership Training: Comprehensive programs will equip young Democrats with skills for effective leadership in their communities.
5. Voter Registration Drive: With engaging events and booths, we aim to register over 3,000
eligible students and make the process accessible and fun.
6. Promoting Democratic Candidates: Through campaign events, rallies, and forums, we will
connect candidates with students, collaborating for effective strategies to mobilize support. We
also hope to achieve a total of 6,000 doors knocked for multiple canvassing days.

Your funds will go directly towards purchasing tabling equipment, merchandise like stickers and snacks for student fairs, gas vouchers for rallies and committee meetings, food for events, and resources for canvassing.
