Mullins McLeod

Mullins McLeod for South Carolina Governor

The failed, broken and corrupt political establishment in Columbia has not prioritized South Carolina students when it comes to higher education. Why are South Carolinians steered into bridge programs and forced to borrow money to attend our state universities? The reason is greed and corruption.

Out of state students are worth more money to the universities than in-state students. We The People gave the State limited authorization to run a state wide lottery in order to reduce the cost of higher education and make it more affordable for our state's talent.

Since the lottery's inception, the cost of higher education has not come down but has gone up. I believe this is a symptom of corruption that has resulted from a combination of increased spending by our state colleges and fraud, waste and abuse at the lottery commission.

When I am Governor of South Carolina, I will:

  1. Audit and make transparent all use of lottery funds.
  2. Require our state universities to be transparent about the cost of tuition vs the value of the degree.
  3. Make college scholarships for in-state students the priority for lottery funds.
  4. Ensure the 600,000 Chinese students accepted in the trade agreement last year do not take spots from South Carolinians at our state universities.

I am the only candidate running for Governor of South Carolina who is NOT a Politician and is Committed to restoring Servant Leadership to South Carolina.

This campaign is taking on a political and financial machine that backs corrupt politicians who will do their bidding. Make no mistake they are attacking us with everything they have to try and keep our voice from being heard.

I understand how hard you work for your money and cannot tell you how much I appreciate any level of donation to help spread the good word.

Thank you,

Mullins
