Multnomah County Democratic Party (OR)

Become a Pillar of the Party

The Multnomah County Democrats run entirely on grassroots energy and grassroots dollars. Right now, we don't have an office. We're building toward one, and the path there runs through our recurring donor base: the Pillars of the Party.

What "Pillar" Means

Pillars are PCPs and supporters who give monthly at whatever level works for them. It doesn't have to be much. What matters is the predictability. Recurring donations are what let us project budgets, make multi-year commitments, and build the kind of organizational infrastructure that turns grassroots energy into lasting impact.

What Your Monthly Gift Enables

Stability:

  • Predictable income we can budget and plan around, not just react to
  • The financial track record needed to responsibly commit to an office lease
  • A funding base that doesn't depend on one big push every few months

Infrastructure:

  • A base for canvasser training and our Neighborhood Leader Program
  • Upfront costs for signature events like Comedy Night and the Celsi Dinner
  • A future home for Central Committee and standing committee meetings

Capacity:

  • Year-round organizing, not just election-season sprints
  • Room to grow staff and volunteer support as the party scales

The Ask

If you're in a position to become a Pillar of the Party, we'd love to have you. Think of it as part of your commitment to the county party, alongside showing up, speaking up, and doing the work.
