MUPAC Builds Muslim, MENA, and Palestine Advocacy Power

At the 2026 Texas Democratic Party State Convention, MUPAC helped turn Muslim, MENA, and Palestine advocacy into official party action.


We did not just ask to be heard. We organized, drafted, fought through the process, and helped advance real policy language in the official 2026 Texas Democratic Party resolutions.


That work helped move resolutions calling for immediate recognition of the State of Palestine, an embargo on military aid and weapons transfers to Israel, an end to complicity in genocide, a distinct Middle Eastern and North African category on government forms, minority business recognition for MENA-owned businesses, and a shift away from endless military spending toward healthcare, schools, housing, infrastructure, diplomacy, development, and humanitarian aid.


These wins matter because Muslim, MENA, Arab, South Asian, and Palestinian communities are too often asked for votes and donations while our core issues are ignored, watered down, or treated as politically inconvenient.


MUPAC exists to change that.


We build power inside the process. We research the issues. We draft the language. We show up in committee rooms. We organize votes. We hold institutions accountable. And we make sure our communities are not just spoken about, but represented where decisions are actually made.


At this convention, that meant helping advance policy on:


  1. Recognition of the State of Palestine
  2. Military aid and weapons transfers to Israel
  3. Genocide accountability
  4. MENA visibility in government data
  5. Minority business access for MENA-owned businesses,
  6. Redirecting military spending toward domestic investment
  7. Foreign-aligned lobbying influence in Democratic politics


This is what Muslim political power looks like: not symbolic outreach, but concrete wins in the documents, platforms, and resolutions that shape party priorities.
