Colin is a fourth-generation Texan. He was raised in Dallas by a single mom who was a public school teacher and often worked two jobs to make ends meet. With a lot of support along the way, Colin was able to chase his version of the American dream: He earned a full ride football scholarship to Baylor University and went on to play in the NFL before going to law school to become a civil rights lawyer.
He ran for Congress to give more Texas kids a chance to achieve their dreams, and with the help of a broad coalition of Texans, he defeated a 22-year GOP incumbent. Now, he’s running to defeat Ted Cruz and, with a history of bipartisanship and overcoming tough odds, experts agree he’s got a real chance.
But Ted Cruz has over $5.7 million in the bank. It’s going to take a powerful grassroots movement to take him down. So we’re asking: Will you chip in any amount before our midnight fundraising deadline to help Colin fire Ted Cruz?
